NETSTARS V1.0 was developed and completed by Hong-Yuan Lee, Hui- Ming Hsieh, etc.

2003
NETSTARS V2.0 was developed and completed for the update by Hui-Ming Hsieh, etc.
(1).Drawing software was changed to windows interface programming. We can directly paste into Word from clipboard and edit report. Two Plug-ins of Arc View V3.2 were developed as follows: NETSGIS2D, and NETSGISPRO. They would provide respectively the works about drawing graphics of sectional data difference, reading data from GIS, and transferring as model input file.

2012
NETSTARS 3.0 Completed the development and update by Hui Ming Hsieh, etc. Windows programming add input file edit interface. Windows programming’s Function has completed. Development added 21 Manning's n value automatic calculation formula, and 26 sediment transport formula. In addition, we also development Shipan erosion module provided to used. The overall function of usage models entered another milestone. It is better than many of simulation two-dimensional mode.
